Terms and Conditions of Student Scholarships
Under the Administration and the Supervision of
Faculty of Business Administration and Chiang Mai University

Continuing Funds for Students Until Graduation

  • The “SCG Mentor Sharing the Dream” program, year 2013, under the umbrella of SCG Foundation, awarding of 20,000THB to each of the students in secondary school and undergraduate level. 

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Have an economic disadvantaged father, mother or parent with uncertain income;
  • Be a secondary school (from Matthayom1 – 6) or undergraduate student;
  • Be studying in a regular education at government/private educational institution and be officially affiliated to a particular educational institute;
  • Be well-behaved, committed and attentive to education;
  • Carefully complete the scholarship application, especially in the personal information section in truth and be realized that the foundation reserves the right to reject an application with incomplete information.

Conditions:

  • The scholarship is available at once in a year with the specific amount as determined by the foundation.
  • The successful applicant will be awarded this scholarship continually until his/her graduation in the Bachelor’s degree, as the highest level of education that the scholarship shall cover.
  • Education history profile of each grantee will be recorded in detail by the SCG foundation. The foundation will directly transfer the grant once yearly to a bank account of the grantee or his/her parent.  
  • The Scholarship from the Interest of “074015 (B)” Fund, by Dr. Surin Thammanives, awarding of 15,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Be a student of the Faculty of Business Administration with economic disadvantage;
  • Earn cumulative GPA of not less than 2.00;
  • Not be awarded any other grants; and
  • Be well-behaved.
  • The Scholarship from the Interest of “Associate Professor Pensri Phu-Uthai and Others” Fund, by Associated Professor Pensri Phu-Uthai, awarding of 10,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Be a student of the Faculty of Business Administration with economic disadvantage;
  • Earn cumulative GPA of not less than 2.00;
  • Not be awarded any other grants; and
  • Be well-behaved.
  • The Scholarship from “Mrs. Renoo Visetchanchaichan Measures” Fund, by Mrs. Renoo Visetchanchaichan Measures, student code 114233, awarding of 15,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved.
  • The Scholarship from the “Foundation for Education of the Marketing Association of Thailand”, awarding of 20,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Be the 3rd year student (2 scholarships) and the 4th year student (2 scholarships) of the Department of Marketing;
  • Earn cumulative GPA of 3.00 or greater;
  • Truly need the financial support for education purpose and be well-behaved; and
  • Be able to assist the Department of Marketing with a certain assigned task at the minimum period of 3 hours per week;

     

  • The scholarship from “Mr. Peerapong-Mrs. Duangdee Cherdsathirakul”, alumni of the Faculty of Business Administration, student codes 2904058 and 3204041, awarding of 20,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved.
  • The scholarship from “Mr. Nattapob Phuridej”, an alumnus of the Faculty of Business Administration, student code 2904273, awarding of 20,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved.
  • The scholarship from the Interest of “Mr. Chaksawat (Opas) Kitisuk” Fund, an alumnus of the Faculty of Business Administration, student code 2904259, awarding of 15,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved.
  • The “Tesco-Lotus for University Students” Scholarship, by Lecturer Chakrit Direcwattanachai, an alumnus of the Faculty of Business Administration, student code 2804090, under the support of For Thai Foundation, Ake-Chai Distribution System Company Limited, awarding of 15,000THB to each of the 20 grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Be the 3rd or 4th year student;
  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite.
  • The Scholarship from “Mr. Pornchai Panjasrirat”, an alumnus of the Faculty of Business Administration, student code 2604250, awarding of 10,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite.
  • The Scholarship from “Ms. Rani Boonnak”, awarding of 20,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite.
  • The Scholarship from “Pharmacist Dr. Aphisith Chattananont”, awarding of 20,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite.
  • The Scholarship from “Dr. Waruttaya Chaengkrachang”, awarding of 10,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite.
  • The Scholarship from “Ms. Pimchanok Kiattiwong”, an alumnus of Faculty of Business Administration, awarding of 5,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite.
  • The “Pinkamol & Leigh Edward Kinder” Scholarship, by Ms. Pinkamol Charanchol, an alumnus of Faculty of Business Administration, awarding of 5,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite.
  • The Scholarship from the “Seniors Help Juniors Project”, by the Accounting and Business Administration Alumni Association, awarding of 18,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage or poor family; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite.
  • The Scholarships from Mr. Weera Kangwanphanitch and Ms. Pimchanok Kiattiwong, alumni of Faculty of Business Administration.

Qualifications:  An eligible applicant must

  • Be the 1th -3th year undergraduate student;
  • Be a student with economic disadvantage;
  • Earn cumulative GPA of 2.00 or greater; and
  • Be well-behaved and polite with good health.
  • Be committed to the special requirement for sending a letter of gratitude to the donors every year attached with following reports:
  • Grading report;
  • Report on the grantee’s living, every day-life, and general matters; and
  • A Greetings card.

The Scholarships under the Supervision of Chiang Mai University

  • The Scholarships of Sumimoto Mitsui Banking Corporation Global Foundation (Bangkok branch), awarding of 730USD to each of the grantees.

            Qualifications of Applicant

  • To be a student with economic disadvantage;
  • To earn cumulative GPA of not less than 2.50;
  • Not be awarded any other grants; and
  • To be well-behaved student.

           

  • The Scholarships of Japanese Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Bangkok, awarding of 40,000THB per year. Payment of this scholarship is divided into 2 terms, according to academic semesters, each of which is 20,000THB.

            Qualifications of Applicant

  • To be an undergraduate student who successfully passed the university entrance examination to study in the regular four-year program and whose domicile is located in the same province or the same region to the university;
  • To earn cumulative GPA of 2.75 or greater;
  • To be well-behaved student; and
  • To write an English essay on “How K want to contribute to Thai Society in the Future after Graduation” with the length of 500-800 words.
  • The Scholarship from Murata Manufacturing, Japan, awarding the total of 24,000THB, of which 20,000THB will be allocated to each of the grantees monthly.

Qualifications of Applicant

  • To be the 2nd year Thai undergraduate student;
  • To be a student with economic disadvantage;
  • To be well-behaved and polite with good health;
  • To earn cumulative GPA in the first academic year (2 semesters) of not less than 2.50;
  • To be committed to the special requirement for sending a letter of gratitude to the donor every year attached with following reports:
  • Grading report;
  • Courses registration report; and
  • Report on the grantee’s living, every day-life, and general matters.      
  • The “Shells – Chiang Mai University” Scholarship, awarding of 15,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications of Applicant

  • To be the 3rd year or higher undergraduate student;
  • To be an economic disadvantaged and well-behaved student;
  • To hold Thai citizenship and not to be awarded any of other activated grants during the period of scholarship.
  • The Scholarship of “Tri-Petch Isuzu Foundation”, awarding of 15,000THB to each of the grantees.

Qualifications of Applicant

  • To be the 2nd year or higher undergraduate student;
  • To earn cumulative GPA of not less than 2.75;
  • To be an economic disadvantaged and well-behaved student;
  • To hold Thai citizenship and not to be awarded any of other activated grants during the period of scholarship.
  • The Scholarship of Mrs. Chaowanee Deeprasertkul, awarding of 10,000THB to each of the 2 grantees.

Qualifications of Applicant

  • To be a student with economic disadvantage;
  • To be granted for this scholarship every year;
  • To earn cumulative GPA of not less than 2.50;
  • Not to be awarded any of other grants; and
  • To be well-behaved student

Academic Yearly Funds

  • The Bank of Tokyo-Misubishi UFJ Scholarship, awarding of 30,000THB. Payment of this scholarship is divided into 2 terms, according to academic semesters, each of which is 15,000THB.

Qualifications of Applicant

  • To be the 3rd year or higher student;
  • To be a student with outstanding or excellent academic record;
  • To be an economic disadvantaged and well-behaved student; and
  • Not to be awarded any of other grants.
  • The Educational Welfare Scholarship of the Chiang Mai University Supporting Fund, awarding of 10,000THB for 2 scholarships.

Qualifications of Applicant

  • To be the 1st year student of the Faculty of Business Administration, who resides or studied at a school located in the northern development region (Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Nan, Chiang Rai, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Mae Hong Son, Payao, Phitsanulok, Kampaengpetch, Sukothai, Petchaboon, Chainat, Nakornsawan, Uthaithani and Phichit);
  • To have economic disadvantaged parents;
  • To earn good education record;
  • To be well-behaved; and
  • To own the qualification of self-sacrifice for social engagement.

Special Requirements

  • An applicant must have good high school cumulative GPA (preferable of not less than2.00);
  • The cumulative GPA of the successful applicant of a  continuing fund must
    • Be not less than 2.00 in the 1st year;
    • Be not less than 2.10 in the 2nd year; and
    • Be not less than 2.20 in the 3rd year.

Instruction of the Grantees

  • The grantee must rigorously comply with all the rights and conditions defined by the donor.
  • The grantee should spend money as gained from the grant reasonably for the only purpose of education according to the intention of the grant donor.
  • The grantee must send a letter of gratitude to the grant donor and should express sincere thankfulness and commemoration by sending the grant donor greeting cards on special occasions.
  • All grantees must dedicate themselves to the faculty by arranging their free times to assist the faculty with a certain assigned task at the minimum period of 20 hours per an academic year. The grantees will be required to specify preferable dates and times of working hours on the scholarship enrollment day.
  • The grantee must submit grading report of every academic semester to the grant donor.
